To what extent do non-expert entrepreneurs make use of effectual reasoning?

Has anyone encountered cases, or articles that describe contexts in which nascent entrepreneurs make use of effectual logic? (in other words, does context and not just entrepreneurial experience have an impact on the type of reasoning adopted?)
